ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

REGISTRATION

•Applicants must be 16 years of age.
•High school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required for admission as a regular student. However, students will be admitted as regular students if they can provide proof of having completed at least an elementary school education and have the ability to benefit from the training offered by the school. Such indicated ability is determined by a written entrance examination approved by State and Federal Education Departments. (Wonderlic Basic Skills Test, Verbal: passing score 200 & Quantitative: passing score 210)
•Copy of birth certificate or other acceptable proof of age.
A doctor's note attesting to the applicant's good health to be obtained within thirty (30) days of enrollment and prior to any clinic training.
•For foreign-born applicants, when any of the required documentation for admission is impossible to provide, an affidavit of the same must be presented.
•For refresher course, applicants must provide the school with:
	a. proof of current New York State Cosmetology license or license from a state with reciprocity with New York State or
	b. proof of successful completion of a 1,000 hours Hairdressing/Cosmetology curriculum from a Cosmetology school.

Prospective students are welcome to visit USA Beauty School to discuss educational and career plans. The admission staff is available for providing guidance and advisement Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
